New Village Press

New Village Press is the publishing arm of ADPSR. New Village publications span the fields of social justice, architecture and planning, economic development, ecology, and arts and culture. The Press crosses boundaries between academic and informal education with books that engage both professionals and community activists working together to build vibrant, healthy communities. Its publications go beyond abstract policy to present the human story, the motivations that stir the soul and make the world a better place to live.

Through illustrated stories, case studies, essays, interviews, educational tools, and guides, New Village Press celebrates the ingenuity and compassion of pioneers rebuilding society. It covers the nitty-gritty of community building, focusing on what is working and what is culturally exciting.

The Press operates under the direction of Lynne Elizabeth, past editor of New Village Journal and current president of ADPSR.
